I started my project by trying to figure out the best way to recreate barn boards. Sooo... I took a picture of some, taped them to a 12x12 cardstock and had it color copied. Perfect! I cut and inked the edges for each frame. I chose my pictures to add and began to put it together. I didnt use a canvas, I used a wooden picture frame for my construction. Ive been waiting for a birdcage Ezee Pzee and have saved this picture of my Godmother whistling inside of one for this project. If you look closely at the picture of the green bordello, next to it stands this huge birdcage. I imagine my aunt enjoying it, as she was such a huge bird lover. Her picture whistling towards the sky is a perfect fit inside my Ezee Pzee :)
The birdcage and a frame were colored with gold alcohol ink and the bird I love you die cut was the perfect embellishment. I pulled out my fancy cutting machine to make the cactus and barrel thats adhered to this scene and also to make a lantern, gold pan, and pick axe for the other frame. I took the Ezee Pzee sign and also colored it with gold alcohol ink, and inked the edges. The Ezee Pzee bird is simply inked. The 2 timepieces were alcohol inked gold before I added the chains to them. And the gold in the miners pan is glass beads~ glued.
After I got it all together I clipped on a ribbon for hanging and added a bird and birdcage metal embellishment to the clips.
***I havent yet used those butterflies..........I'll have to save them for something special to be shared later~I promise...****
